Yucatan

This was a beautiful time to explore the ruins.  I felt like Catherwood or Stevens, the 19th century explorers who wrote notable books on their travels in Yucatan.  They even were able to buy a hacienda near Chichen Itza and dive in the cenote and explore at their leisure.  The Maya created architecture rivaling that of Greece, IMHO.
