Recent Morrisville Ale & Trail Association Hikes

January 28th was a brilliant day to revisit the Bobbitt Hole on the Eno River.  Margaret wishes for Pea Creek...next time.  On the left...Earl pours his beer.  Richard may be thinking, "Incredible!".
We enjoy another romp along the Haw River and up Pokeberry Creek near Bynum on November 12th.
The rain gods granted us a foggy hike on January 21st...20 members came out to hike the American Tobacco Trail.
We visit the Sculpture in the Garden on November 6th, a crisp fall day.  We had a good turnout of 18 people, 15 lunched at the Nantucket Grill.
On a clear day, Johnston Mill trail gets a revisit on January 14th just so we can nosh at the Saratoga Grill.
On October 29th we climb Occoneechi Mountain to view the changing leaves. Fleur dresses up for Halloween.
We revisit the White Pines Preserve on January 7th to experience what we missed last time around.  Cell phone photos are surprisingly good.
On a cool October 22nd we wander the woods of the White Pines Nature Preserve and lunch at the General Store Cafe in Pittsboro.
We finish the year on December 31st by hiking the Fanny's Ford trail on the Eno River...on a brilliant day.
On a crisp October 15th we rounded the Buckquarter Creek Trail along the Eno River once again.  Not muddy this time.
We tour Chapel Hill on the "Parking Holiday", December 18th, and check  out the Carolina Inn and the UNC Campus.
We tour the "Beyond the Frame" exhibition in Graham on a bright, sunny October 8th.  Impressionism in three dimensions.
Cabe Lands attracted us again on December 10th.  How could we have missed the haunted cemetery about 200 yards off of the trail.
On the first cool and breezy day of Fall, October 1st, we romp around the beach at Jordan Lake watching hawks glide and a lone sailboat.
December 3rd has MATA trying a totally new trail, Morgan Creek - Merritt's Pasture, and enjoying it.
MATA hiked the Johnston Mill Trail on what turned into a bright, sunny day, September 24th.
MATA hikes the Duke Golf Course for the first time since March.  Perfect day for a hike, November 26th.
An overcast day doesn't deter us from a hike in the New Hope Creek Bottomlands on Setpember 17th.
Our Thanksgiving Bash at Atlantic Towers in Carolina Beach is always fun. We did it again on November 18th through 20th.  Don't miss Mary's turkey trot videos.
On Saturday, Sept. 10th, these merry people hiked around Lake Johnson while Dave took photos of venomous snakes in Swepsonville.
